I started my first game of VV2, and the only two female villagers I bore only boys! Out of the 10 children born, only one was female, but she died young. I kept trying for a girl but to no avail. Now, one of the two women is 52, and the other is approaching menopause herself.

If she doesn't produce a girl in the next two years, does it mean that my game is over? (Since I will have only men and no means of producing children.)

You need to put spoiler in your thread if you want to know more. You can look in the Guides for the answer to your question.

There are other island events that could cause you to get someone that you need. (A female in this case) One could even fall down the waterfall. You should never just give up. You never know what could happen.

You should put your game on 1/2 speed so that your villagers get more "life" in between Events. Tech points earned will go down, but soe will food consumption.

Another tip is to have your Events occuring as soon as they can. This can be done by leaving your game open and running, even if you are away at work or asleep. Or you could check your game logs to compute the next event occurance trigger and make sure that you open your game as close to that time as possible. (The first suggestion is easier for most people.)

Shalom; There are several events that occur that could still save your tribe. I'd had one recently that literaly saved my tribe. Hang in there. You have the makings of a good story.

Well, the odds of the next child being a boy is 50-50, regardless of how many children have been born.

But the odds of getting no girls at all in 14 kids is pretty low.

Anyone care to suggest a name? (The auto-generated name was "Papaya", which is kinda cute, but I personally hate papayas and I thought it'd be nice to have a special name to commemorate the situation.)

What really freaks me out, though, is that by the time she reaches 18, the only guys she could mate with would be her brothers/half-brothers.

Amongs french 1st names, there is: Bénédicte. It comes from "bénédiction" = blessing!
Don't forget to have set a healer (or 2, it's best) specialy when you quit the game or they don't heal anybody by their own.

Ah....my villagers found a "wild boy" age 13, when my lone Princess (Moon) was 10. They were on have many children. And there was another event that not only literaly saved my tribe, brought fresh blood to the tribe.

One day, in my game, Ipo find a "Love Note". He hides to catch the poet and hop! Uma is pregnante! Nice, but she is 61 years old I think it is the exception which proves the rule in VV2!!
