I have a very good tribe on my other computer, and I want to bring that tribe onto this computer. I am writing a story about that tribe, and I think that it will be easier to write it on this faster PC. I copied the log file from the other computer, but now I see that I need to do something else. Can anyone help me figure out what to do??

Go to my Documents\LDW\Virtual Villagers (name may vary depending on where you got your game). And copy all the files with the extension .ldw. And then upload them somewhere and copy the link, and paste the link it your e-mail, and send the e-mail of to your other PC. Or just attach each file to the e-mail.

Is there anyway to change the name of a tribe without starting a new one? I had named the one on this PC and the one on the other one the same thing. It's pretty confusing at times.

ok I copied all my files from the folders, the logs and everything. Had to reinstall the software but now can't get my tribes back in even though I copy the backupdata into the new folder. What am I doing wrong?

Did you reinstall the same game version from the same site where you purchased it? The games that you backed up won't work with any other version of VV.
