Tears fell out of every villager's eyes. Everyone was working but no one was talking happily as they usually do. Everyone was holding back sobs of heartache. Everyone was silently crying. Everyone glanced sadly at the new headstone in the graveyard. Everyone knew what they other one was thinking but ,trust me, none of them are pyshics. Everyone was grieving, grieving for Ringo. Who died today.

I will miss Ringo he was the guy we loved to hate when he tried to destroy Meka's and Gin's love for one another. He was the guy we rooted for when Greg died and he had to be leader that had to pull together a broken tribe. He was the guy we respected and cared for and loved. But it was his time to be with the founding memebers and others who have passed. I know he is happy because he can now be with the mentor that taught him all he know, Greg. I know he was happy when he saw the temple restored, the great Idol carved, and seconds before he passed on our tribe found the tresure buried by our food bin! He accomplished everything he hoped to. But never had a child and I don't think he regreted it! May he rest in peace.

My most untimely death was one of my builders. I have been working real hard on my villagers to get 3 master builders so I can get one of the puzzles and I had one villager left with only adept almost a master builder, and my eldest villager passed away just before it was completed. Now I have to get another one started and hope that the others don't die first.

Everyone in the village died except little Aika, 5 years old. She has managed to live alone for 65 years. It is so sad. I was hoping for another couple to come and join her and repopulate my very first VV2 village but I don't think that will happen. It is too bad we cant send a couple from another village to join her. She is 70 now and will be the last of her tribe.

It's always so sad when a lone villager hangs in there for a long time, but no event happens to give hin/her company, isn't it? \:\(

When I've had games that were near disasters, I make sure that it is on 1/2 speed, and keep that game running in an open window as much as possible. That way there will be more events occuring and therefore more chances of additional villagers arriving to help out.

If necessary, I'll revert to a saved version of the game in increase my chances, or just start again from a younger age.

My most untimely death was also my very first death. A 9 year old girl, Sara got an event of a hole in the ground or maybe it was a sack but any way I made the stupid choice and she ended up being bitten to death by an angry swarm of fire ants I was soooooo sad and felt terribly guilty after that. Oh.... and I learnt not to look in the rotting sacks and down holes in the ground \:\)

I just started playing VV a few days ago. I've read the posts on here and thought, "I'm not THAT attatched to this game. I'm not going to have a favorite villager." Well, I was wrong. I had a favorite and she died right after rearing her set of twins to the age of two. I actually got sad! She died right before we started work on the temple. I now only have one of my original adult villagers left. \:\( Boy, this game gets to you!

My first death was a man named Kappa, his epitaph was "dedicated to his children" which was funny since he did not have any....

More recently I started to name the tribe after members of my family and my friends - wouldn't normally but for some unknown reason I had five villagers all called Caia - when they started to die you can imagine how upset I was. I will never do that again!
