ty for answering that question!! Now I have another...I have a villager,fortysomething, and who became an esteemed elder when he rang the gong...he gained wisdom. He was awarded a totem but the totem has disappeared...I have shut the game down and reloaded to no avail...any ideas as to what has happened to the totem??? Is there an event which takes and elder's totem away??? Thanks in advance to any assistance!!!

sometimes they blend too well into the backgrounds, did you search very very carefully through the whole village?

yes thanks for the repl....I did search high and low...the villager is still alive...still an esteemed elder and his totem is still missing...it popped up as soon as he became the elder and I put his totem next to the others...I only have 4 others so not that many ....it was there...and then it wasn't...

Have you moved all of the totems to make sure that it isn't behind the others?

yes moved all the totems...there is not a totem for him anymore...when you click on a totem the villager's name pops up...but his is no longer there. He is still alive tho and still labeled an esteemed elder ...he just lost his totem. I can't figure it out, unless there is some sort of event which causes it to disappear.

Hi there. I usually lurk and don't post but I have to say that this has happened to me as well in 2 different tribes. Matter of fact the 2nd time was just the other day. All I was doing was carrying the totem to where I keep all the others and it disappeared while in transit to the location. I have searched high and low and have even moved all totems but to no avail it is long gone. The other totem happened the same way as leecie's totem did rang the gone granted wisdom and poof totem appears then vanished. Really strange and I can't seem to figure it out either.

This sounds suspicious. The common factor here is that the villagers became elders as a result of ringing the gong. We should probably check it out.

whew, thanks for coming out of lurk mode and describing your vanishing totem! At least I am not imagining things!
