I vote for more things that can be bought with tech points after max population is reached for the first time. I have soooooo many tech points and am bored changing their clothing. But I do LOVE the idea of changing clothing...I make all my doctor's wear white so I can find them when there is an epidemic... Paying a teacher to keep the children in check is a good investment, boats and nets for fishing would be handy....(maybe the boats have to be manually loaded with 4 farmers to work?)....buying upgraded seeds so your crops appear faster....Having to buy them repeatedly to use up tech points?....(and my only original thought on how to use up tech points)

I guess I am saying the upgrades in VV2 are a good improvement over VV1....it definately shows that the developers are reading comments and trying to add things that are of interest to those of us who are VVNuts...But they didn't go far enough with things we can use to keep our interest in keeping the village growing. How about Easter Eggs that trigger after a certain number of hours of play time? Random things such as all but the Elders currently in the village revert to children or All the Elders die? Or the buildings near the shore wash away and they rebuild on same site, but the new buildings are better and house more?

I do understand the limits of programming without taking over the entire hard drive, but some things can be put in by revising existing code and putting in a timer. Smile

I have one more suggestion. I made several in earlier posts here.
It concerns clothing colors in the women's clothing. It would be nice to be able to choose different colors on outfits. There are some dress styles that I like and choose quite often to dress up my village ladies. I get tired of the same colors and patterns. If there was a way that you could choose a dress or outfit and then a drop down list to choose what color/pattern. I especially like lavendar, light purple, etc. But I do not see too many dresses of that color. There are only two that I know of.

Dear Developers of the VV games,

Someone on another thread suggested the VV3 be "The Journey Home". LOOOOooove it. Since Triologies seem to be so popular, why not have our little villagers end in VV3? But how to end it? Use those huge tech points collections to buy materials from a roaming vender who shows up at a certain tech point level and sets up a shop. The villagers buy the nails and tools to build boats. When the boat is built, some villagers board it and float off with a map they also bought from the vendor to find home. After a certain amount of boats have been built and floated off with villagers (perhaps 10 per boat to maximize the use of the extra population you get from completeing collections)...you name the number, but 25 or more sounds good to me....the game actually ENDS....It could end with a displayed code for a discount on the purchase of the next adventure our little Villagers embark on.

Of course I have an idea what that adventure might entail....Homesteading, Wild West Style. But we are just discussing VV3 here....not The next generation of the game. Smile.

I think there should be some way to summon all of the villagers to the center of the village, so thatwe can put them all on one task

Hopefully there is NO end to the villagers. It would be like losing part of the family. I vote for still playing when they working on VV1000....ok maybe thats asking too much..but you get the point.

Hi everyone
I am eagerly awaiting vv3 but do have some suggestions. I would like to see more huts for the builders to build...for example, a school room, and a toilet!!. I have given my kids some privacy when nature calls by placing the elder totems around the area.
I find the villagers are quite happy to build if they are actually building something, but I get tired of having to keep forcing them back to work when they are just "fixing".
I agree with other comments that the time taken to nurse a baby does not generate enough towards a master in parenting.
Having the children taught to pick mushrooms and collectables themselves would be great.

A few suggestions for vv3.
I haven't read all posts here so I hope I don't repeat too much off what have already been said.

School:
At a certain level of engineering and culture a school can be built. But in order for it to be useful you need one or more teachers and only Esteemed Elders can be teachers. And they will only teach in those subjects as they are masters in.

This will give an incitement to keep training people to be Esteemed Elders for more then just the totem, and it will give you a chance to train the kids in some skills before they grow up. And in order train kids in more then just three skills you need several Esteemed Elders with different skills as teachers.

Masters in skills:
To make an incitement to get masters later in the game have villagers working on the same project as a master learn quicker. Example: A villager working on the same hut as a master is will learn building skills a bit faster then he would otherwise.

Chieftain:
At a certain level of culture and with a large enough populace a villager can become the tribe chief. He will have some requirements as maybe master in 4-5 skills or similar. But when you actually have one the whole village will get some big advantage. That advantage can disappear when he dies or be permanent.

Clothes:
You should be able to select the color of the clothes (when you go to the sewing hut) and not just a few set outfits. For instance you should be able to get outfit A with color B on the shirt and color C on the trousers.

Map:
A bigger map would be nice, perhaps you can unlock parts of the map as you complete tasks.

Food:
More sources of food, like banana trees and berry bushes.
Fishing boats for bigger catches. (requires a high engineering level)
Fishing nets for bigger catches. (requires something to get)
More then one field.
Upgraded agriculture tech will give bigger harvests.

Tech:
More tech areas and a few more steps on each.
Some suggestions: Fishing, agriculture, metalwork, astronomy.
I would like to see around 12-15 techs with around 6-8 steps on each.

Seasons:
As some have suggested before day and night would be nice but wouldn't "fit" with the time line. But seasons would. It would make things look a bit better but more important you can time different things to different seasons. Like crops and events of cultural significance. Like a party every equinox. Or that some task have to be done at a certain season. Also things like the flu (several people sick) could follow seasons.

Hope I managed to give you a few good suggestions. \:\)

I like all of those ideas, Magnus. Especially about all the different Techs and levels of such. But hypothetically, say they do decide to put in your tech idea: the game release would, of necessity, be delayed a few months so that they could write in the code for the multiple pages for the tech screens.

Since I have no idea about what have / haven't been already put into the game I have no idea how long it would take to implement. Besides, I see no reason for multiple tech screens, there are more then enough room on just one screen. The bars can be made thinner without much problem.

And my opinion in this matter is that I don't mind waiting a few months extra for a better game anyway. \:D
