I've almost gotten my frist elder and can't get it to master doctor he's 58 so far in age and has building and farming as his other two skills. I have tried making my other villagers sick but that still doesn't work. I've tried studying plants and that don't work. He's still adept and almost a master been working on him for days now. need a little help or at least the best combination of skills to get an elder. thanks

i used researching, farming and parenting. parenting skills is the easiest and fastest to accumulate for male villagers if you have a female villager over 50 years old. don't let them go the love shack anymore, just pick up and drop your villager over and over again beside your 50-year-old-female, but make sure that the "going indoors" shows as the action and refreshes everytime you pickup-and-drop your villager. and the bottom should also show "this villager improves in parenting".

Every time your doctor heals another villager or studies one of the plants he will increase his healing skills. The change may be imperceptible, but it is there. Eventually he should reach master status provided he lives long enough. Try getting L3 Patience.
