I just logged off a few minutes ago and went back to playing my game. I was watching this one male villager (that sucks the life right out of me when I watch him walk anywhere) and I noted he was just standing next to the research shed doing nothing.

I clicked on him and it said "He is waiting on someone." About that time, my Master Farmer female (whom I did not want romancing this guy, walked up to him (with no help from me) , stopped and kissed him. The next thing I know they're going to the shed to make whoopee. I already had one master villager pregnant and I didn't want another pregnancy at this time especially with this guy. I really didn't get real concerned as he is so slow that the females always get to the love shack and leave before he gets halfway there, so I just left them alone.

I went to the bottom of the screen to look for one of the children and noted that she had just gone inside the love shack (with him miles behind of course) and I waited for her to come out. When she did she was carrying a new baby all wrapped in baby blankets. What the heck gives?

Has this ever happened to anyone else? Has a villager actually made a move on another villager without gamer assitance and then become pregnant by simulation suggestion?????? \:\?

The trip to the shack is purely for romantic effect. The outcome of a "kiss" is determined immediately, whether you allow them to go to the shack or not. Villagers who "know how" will initiate kisses on their own, which is why it can be very "risky" to allow male villagers to gain parenting skill. \:\)

"Waiting for someone" is what you will see any time a villager has been chosen by another villager for some sort of interaction (kissing, telling a joke, complaining, etc.). The villager stands still and waits for the other villager to come to them. \:\)

If you spot a villager "Waiting for someone" it is likely they have a love date, although, as Barbara says, there can be other reasons. If you don't want another baby at that time move the villager; even a little works. The look on the other villager's face when he or she arrives and finds that it looks like they've been stood up is priceless!
