My villager’s names are dropped and duplicated by another villager’s name. I assigned my villagers numbers instead of names to help me keep track of them. (all 116 sometimes I have 116 V's, but it usually caps out at 115) I left my villagers in 'Normal Speed' game play over night and checked on them in the morning. What a mess.. Their names, which are numbers now are all out of order. Some names (numbers) where dropped and duplicated by a neighbors and some just fell out of order. Just for the record, this happened early on in the game as well, not just when it capped out at 115. BTW, I only get 116 villagers when number 114 has twins.

Villagers are not always arranged in the same order in the Details Screen rotation, and it's not uncommon to see them change positions. It, of course, is most noticeable when you give your villagers numbers for names (which I have done trying to track down the other part of your complaint).

The name-change issue is due to an elusive glitch, which is also in the first VV game, that we have been unable to locate and correct. The only thing you can do is to manually change the duplicated names back to what they were (or to a different name). If we can find and fix the problem, we will include the fix in an updated release of the game.

Perhaps if a younger villager advances quicker in total skill level (not just one skill) but accumulative skill then maybe that villager jumps ahead in the age detail rotation order and takes on the name of the villager originally in that spot. You could apply that to the health bar too. Maybe the name glitch when sorted by age occurs if and when a villager’s health weakens and then gets better. *shrug* Just some thougts on the idea.

If it was something like that, it would happen to everyone, on every kind of computer. But it doesn't. It only happens on two of the many computers that I use to test, and only occasionally. Arthur has never seen it on his computers. It happens to some players, but most people never see it. It happens in VV1, as well, where you have no ability to change the sort order.

Just out of curiosity, how much main memory do you have in your computer?

I have 1G. My computer is a HP pavilion dv5000. I purchased and downloaded my game from Pogo.com. I don't have a cd with the game on it.
