I like being able to put in longer names... this allows me to perform marriages and add honorary titles to the end of names.

For example, Tutu and Himi become Tutu - Himi and Himi - Tutu after I marry them (and they only mate with eachother... at least when I'm around!!!)

I also appoint a village healer and the eldest has honorary title on the end of his/her name.

I do something sort of similar - I use Japanese honorifics. When a villager becomes an esteemed elder I change their name to '[name]-senpai.' ('upperclassman' [name]) A master in one or two skills but not yet an elder is '[name]-kanpai.' ('underclassman' [name]) And any villager over 70 is '[name]-sama,' ('master' [name]) or '[name]-sensei' ('teacher' [name]) if they're an elder.

That is interesting. I'm glad to know there are more than just me who are this interested in honorifics!
