I love the idea of livestock! Chickens are so funny too.....could have the children chase them ever so often. I would love to see the tech points be used. We collect so many after buying everything up there just is no use for them after a while. You can only do so much shopping! It would be great to find secret places and a broader island after a while. I agree with the "parent" trap we have here. Mom's don't get points for all they do and the amount of time it takes to do it. I am happy to see, however, them washing their children and showing them the ocean..etc. It has added a personal and loving touch to the characters. I am so happy to see the parents of the children too. It makes it fun and also easier when deciding who parents who in the future. A church would be nice! That would allow there to be a priest or preacher or bishop..etc. Some sort of spiritual advisor aside from an esteemed elder who although they deserve the utmost respect, have a hard time getting around.

I really like the whole animal/livestock idea. Maybe the island isn't so "tropical" and some cows, chickens, horses, etc. can be added.

Also, there has got to be some way of keeping the builders going. It is really hard to master that skill once all the huts are built, etc. They work on the huts...but don't seem to gain skill like the farmers and researchers. Maybe it is just me?

I'm sure whatever VV3 turns out (new and old stuff) is going to be fantastic...just like the first two games!

How about birth control for VV3 so that parenting skills can be increased without a population increase or message saying that the village cannot support more population? Or option to disable the message anyway. Plus both parents should gain parenting skills (not just the male if male initiated the exchange) if the female has a baby. There should also be things that the females should be able to do while they are caring for their baby to gain parenting skills or impart skills to their baby. (If they decide to put spiritual leaders of the village other than elders, maybe the spiritual leader could bless the baby and give the child skills or help it grow up faster ie less nursing time.)

Also, how about pets (like maybe a villager captures a parrot from VV2 and keeps it), livestock is a great idea once a certain level of technology is reached.

Your point that perhaps we should not expect this society to function like ours may be valid. However, you seem to imply that ALL "primitive" societies were "chauvinistic" in the sense of having rigid gender roles, usually to women's disadvantage. This is simply not true. "Tropical" i.e. Pacific Island societies in particular were notably egalitarian, with many great and powerful queens, noblewomen, etc. James Michener's "Hawaii" is a great book.

The best advice I can give is to spend a bit more time and work out the glitches before you put this product to market. It has taken way too long to get VV2 fixed.. Not acceptable

Given the nature of the exotic plants/herbs, it might be interesting to have one that if combined with certain foods or herbs produces some type of intoxicant, causing a villager to stumble around being obnoxious to the others. The Elder could then 'banish' the offender to a time limit solo existance where all other villagers avoid him/her and refuse to work/socialize with him, or to an unpleasant and demeaning task such as cleaning parrot poop from the totems, where all other villagers can see he/she is being punished for unacceptable behaviour.
A couple of times, I have gotten the event where a child excells in building amazing stuctures with his toy blocks. After choosing to allow him to continue to play, it would have interesting to see him build something that would help and amaze the village, even if the scientists then had to do more research to enable the village to fully understand the function/purpose of the object.
Please! dont make those kids play hide and seek in VV3. They do that now, everytime a red mushroom or a rare object shows up. They are no where to be found until its too late to collect the item!
In both versions, they always choose one spot for the potty. Waste is the best fertilizer, could the ground area either not be used to produce something extreme, like one gigantic vegetable in the garden at random times, or a new fruit bearing plant someplace in the island, which then has to be researched or studied by the upcoming doctors to discover it perhaps gives the villager who eats it a one time instant master in one skill. *One time being no matter how many more times that same villager eats it, they risk losing a skill but will not gain another instant master*.. Or as an event like: Choose to eat it? chance of gaining a one time master skill, or losing one skill entirely?

My issue is not that mothers spend so long caring for their infants, in an ideal world that would be great. It just then makes it so much more difficult for them to achieve elder status so you end up with a situation where you're pushing some elderly female to haul boulders from one end of the village to another on her last legs, doesn't seem fair!

I think most of the ideas are great! I really like the idea of an elder banishing intoxicated villagers but would extend the idea to include non-workers. It would save some of us from having to kill them off. The idea of using tech skills to buy extra life or shills is great.
All the new skills mentioned e.g. gathering eggs, hunting etc are terrific.
I'm not sure I agree with children automatically picking up mushrooms and collectibles. There has to be some interaction on our part or the game becomes a movie. This is one of the few things that distinquishes us from "time warpers". I wish I could use the "pile on" trick that some folks are using but for some reason it doesn't work for all of us. Maybe it should be eliminated so there is a level playing field.
I love the idea of nap time for kids, but would not require all to nap at the same time unless muswhrooms and collectibles dont appear during the nap.
Some of the villager sounds, especially the kids, are really annoying. The giggling is wonderful, and "hey" is okay, but the ones that say "UH" when you pick them up irritate me. Anyone else?
My ultimate wish is that you could breed for runners. They make the game so much more fun

i think that the "Leader" of the tribe should be more easily spotted. and they should have days to have little competitions, like singing, spearthrowing, swiming, climbing, archery, etc. to determine the next "Leader".

Changing weather's a great idea... hey, and just a bar would be good! All that farming - thirsty work.
What about a tally of all the additional pebbles, shells, bugs etc. I must have picked up 100s would have liked to know how many and how many additional tech points they gained for me.
Also villagers must need to sleep - there could be a night-time period when there is a guard on duty to watch out for wild beasts etc.
Would be a good idea for sick villagers to go to the hospital for treatment, then Drs could go there to heal them and gain points.
I could go on and on..... but just more episodes is my main request please!
