Hey All

I am playing VV 1 for the first time in a while and for whatever reason, I cannot get my village to have it's first child!! I have 7 villagers, still biulding the first hut, but I swear that I should still be able to add to my population. anyone know what's going on?

You need to complete the first hut so you can have your first kid on the game.

in my first game, i was on normal mode and i was able to make my first baby even before i finished the first hut, but in the game that i started just recently, i chose the hard mode and i wasn't able to make my first baby until i finished the first hut.

Whether or not you can make a baby depends entirely upon your population at that time. If you start a game on Easy setting, you will start with 7 villagers and won't be able to increase the population until the first hut is finished, unless one of your villagers dies first. The other game difficulty settings start you off with fewer than 7 villagers, so you'll be able to produce at least one baby before reaching a population of 7.

i guess that's what it was. i only had 6 villagers to start with my first game, it was in normal mode even before i start. the second game was initially set to easy mode (i had 7 starter villagers), then i immediately changed to hard mode when the basic tutorials were over. so that is why i made a baby right away with my first game. ladycf, thanks for enlightening me!
