does the golden child die at all? or will he always be there for all time as long as you're playing the game? he seems to remain 5 years old.

He never ages, although he can die under some circumstances. If that happens, he can't be replaced.

my gc is no longer golden (literally). i changed his clothes and can no longer bring it back to his original golden outfit.

i need that too! but it doesnt matter because he can do everything he could do in his robes in his new outfit!

sometimes you get an event that changes his head too! its a trip to see him running around with hair in those golden robes

I tried getting ride of my GC too many times to remember i almost succeded one time but it was the Master Farmer thing

My Golden Child was sick once, but I had him healed.

he can heal himself-I just discovered it.

You know my GC went after I got so many events he was involved in I sent the post on another thred a while a few weeks ago. So it might happen one day.

I've got a question. If you drop a bunch of nursing mothers into the lagoon at the same time, is it possible to get more than one GC? And, has anyone tried dropping a mother nursing twins or triplets into the lagoon to see if the twins or triplets would all become the GC?

Just curious.

A little OT, but I thought I'd mention it, since I'm talking a bit about the lagoon. Did any of you ever try to put a kid or two on the other side of the lagoon? It's funny to watch them. They walk ON the water to get back across, lol. I'm not Christian, but, I found it amusing.

I put a mother nursing triplets in the lagoon to see what would happen got Golden Child came on the lagoon, then she was carrying 3 fish and I looked at her details still nursing so many minutes, 3 fish, health sick,
Some one healed her and the fish turned back into 3 babies again.
This was long before I joined this forum and I don't remember what the poplation was then.

Wow. OK, I won't take that chance then. I'm still waiting for enough tech points to be able to buy level three fertility, but I've got two sets of twins right now, and a bunch of other nursing moms. I'll just choose ONE when the time comes, and put her in the lagoon.

Thanks for the warning! It's tough enough to get twins (though, I was pleasantly surprised today when I took one of my male villagers and put him with two females and they both came away with twins, but usually I only get single births, lol), I don't want to lose any due to the GC, lol.

Well, I just got the Golden Child. Anyone else have a GC that the very first thing it did was open the cave? Mine just did. Like, literally within seconds of being "born". Anyway, I just solved all the puzzles save one. So, that just leaves getting more research done to build up tech points to buy the final level of science, and then I can solve the last puzzle.

Apart from the first few games I played, though, I have hardly left my GC alone once he's been born, dragging him from place to place to solve the other puzzles first. Only when they've been solved have I allowed him do his own thing and (in his own good time) open the cave (with time off for partying, of course).

Lol. I didn't really have the chance. Just as I was about to grab him as he came out of the Lagoon, and the game made the announcement that he's been "born", he ran off, with the whole tribe following, and there he was at the boulder, and *boom* the boulder disappears, and that part of the puzzle was solved. It was only after that, that I got the chance to grab him and drag him around to solve the other puzzles, lol.

I will say though, that I now understand everyone else's frustration with him. I'm ready to kill him myself, what with all those parties. I even tried throwing him in the ocean. The little bugger just stood on top of the water, "doing nothing". I screamed in frustration as he ran away to dance.
