I have been trying to solve Puzzle 5 for 3 days now and cannot seem to get my best village sim to get the dead flower field blooming again.

I have already solved puzzle 4. Every time I take the villager to the creek, he takes water to the flower field but he always wants to go back to the well to get the water instead of the creek. I cannot sit here all day and keep dragging him to the creek to get the water.

Any trick on getting him to get the water from the creek instead of the well.

The only villagers who will work on that puzzle on their own are builders. Unless they have building set as their preferred skill, they will work on it once and then go do something else.
