I've noticed the discussions about raising a child to become a Master Builder / Master Doctor, but I'm wondering if there's anything specific that can be done to enable a child to become a Master Researcher?

And a small 'victory' - I just had my villager that disliked running and the sort finally become an Elder. (even though he walked like an elder at the age of 2)

I don't know of any non-event way to have a child Master Researcher.

And congrats on your slow-walking Elder. I had one of those, too.

How does a child become a Master Doctor?

You make the "sick" stew and have a child heal. You can do it until the stew runs out, but you casn always make another stew if you want.

I had an event that caused an epidemic among the villagers. My master doctor was worked off his feet dealing with the influx of the sick waiting to be healed, so I grabbed the nearest kid to help out. Around 40 were sick and the kid healed about 15 villagers in five minutes. Judging by his skills bar he's now easily an adept doctor, although he shows as an apprentice at the moment. Just as the last villager was healed another adept doctor sauntered up - he'd been hiding at the far end of the island.

Getting all esteemed elders sounds like quite the challenge indeed. Is it even possible? Nursing mothers lose a lot of time!

I had a child become a master builder via an event, but nothing else has caused a child to get that high a level. The idea of getting a child to act as a doctor sounds interesting, though. Hmmmm....

I used stew to get one of my kids up to master doctor.

Nursing mothers dont have to lose time if you use a special stew;)

Nursing mothers can still heal and also get building skill via stews.

One thing that always amuses me is, when I'm using a little boy to heal someone, and the first attempt fails, a dark-brown voice says "Nope!". The contrast between that and the high-pitched "Wheeee!" or similar that he gave out when he was picked up a little while before is so incongruous.
