I am at my wits end with one of my VV2 villagers, no matter what I assign as his skill and get him to do he bogs off after a few minutes and his caption reads "bored"....

Any suggestions what I can do with him - apart from the nasty stew that would make him sick??

I like to grab him, and throw him around the screen. And then I don't feed him. MUHHAAHH!!! And my lazy villagers usually die before they're even a trainee at a skill.

"Bored" amd "thinking" are a normal part of a teenager's learning curve.

You have to "baby-sit" a lot of newbies to keep them on task at first. After they reach Trainee they should continue at that skill on their own. However, with some I've had, I've had to constantly catch them and put them back on task all the way until the reached Adept. That can be a pain.

Check their likes and dislikes. Villagers who like to relax, dance, play, etc. or dislike work, lifting, etc. are much harder to keep on task... and forget about teaching Farming to a villager who dislikes fish. lol \:D Not going to happen if the ocean can be fished.
