So, I checked in on my little villagers yesterday and had to laugh. I scrolled over and saw about 8 of them gathered in and around the hospital. I thought "uh oh, must be an epidemic going on" and clicked on one to see if he was sick. They all sprang to life and took off to the ends of the island. No one was sick, clearly I caught them either:

-having a secret meeting to overthrow the guiding hand
-having an orgy
-establishing a secret club
-developing a new secret stew recipe to sell to Campbells

Or even developing a new secret stew recipe and the main ingredient is the guiding hand! \:o

Maybe they were just the directors of the hospital holding a board meeting.

I am constantly catching my villagers congregating like that. All I can do is laugh 'cause it reminds me of when my kids were little and I told them to clean their rooms. They worked as long as I was in the room, but the moment I left they started to play. As soon as I walked back in to check on them I would see them scramble to start cleaning again. (Of course with that innocent angelic look on their faces!)

Fawn - Amazing what kids think they can get away with isn't it? My parents had to separate us if we were supposed to be cleaning our room. One parent would stand at the bedroom door (or at least near it) while the other parent 'stood guard' with the other child. And then we'd rotate. 15 minutes being 'guarded' as we cleaned, 15m 'guarded', waiting as the other cleaned. We were just awful - start to clean and end up playing with the mess!

My 3 year old's favorite variation on that is to turn it back on me. If I surprise her doing something she's not supposed to be doing (getting out of bed after bedtime, making a mess, taking things out I just put away, tormenting her sister) she bursts into tears and claims I "scared" her, with the hope of distracting me from whatever it was she was doing. At least none of these villagers cried!

It was infuriating back then, but vengence is mine. All 3 of them have kids of their own now that do the same thing. When they complain to me about it I just laugh and say "now you can share in my pain" \:D
