I just baught both vv1 and vv2, I have been playing them but all my vilagers seem to die before I can get the algae eaters. Anyone have any pointers that might help?

The second Virtual Villagers game requires a very different strategy than the one you use with the first one. There are some excellent tips in this thread that should help you get a good game going.
