It would be nice to see villagers (farmers) to breed some animals e.g. hens (chickens). Children could pic up eggs likewise mushrooms. The eggs also could be color, small or big, magic and could be used to preparing some new stews. That is the best idea yet! The idea about fathers taking care of the kids is a good idea too, but it needs to be more along the same lines as it is now for it to feel right when you play. If the father initiates "going indoors," then he cares for the baby and vice versa. Also the whole "kids playing doctor with adults," is really creepy. It's above and beyond the whole toilet thing.

Make the game replayable!
Once I completed VV1 (still working on VV2), I completely lost interest since I knew everything.
Suggestion: Put a much greater depth of hidden things. Exposing an area could give 1 of 3 possible results (or something like that) randomly. That way, I can play again, and get different results!

Sounds good to me. Although them going to school and trying to keep them in their desks and the adults learning would be fun...lol

I agree with everyone here, mothers should get more tech points for parenting. It seems to me that males can get loads and loads of points for just simply "going indoors", whilst females spend two years carrying babies around - can't even buy a new dress for goodness sake - and get little or no recognition for their efforts.
Also, on a separate point, would it be possible to trade tech points for food - and vice versa? Just a thought ... something you do in Westward and it works rather well.
Thoroughly enjoying VVII, but nearing the end of my latest visit to Isola!

... oh, and also, it would be nice if people could build up "domestic" points, like for making stews and "doing laundry"

How about the option to let two villagers marry? There could be some benefits, like maybe shorter nursing time (because the dad is helping out more) and some disadvantages if you decide to divorce the couple, like losing all the parenting skill or something.
Again, it can be completely optional so that people who like having the villagers handle mating on their own (ie, embracing their own parents or producing potato-head children all the time) can do so.

A stew for increasing intelligence (more dedicated workers) A stew that will increase your life for lets say 2 years.
Workers that are sewers (makes the new clothes) but also cooks (makes the stews) perhaps another duty as well but can become masters in this group.
Builders and Doctors are a bit to hard to gain Master status. I love a challange but this one takes way to many years to gain the status on.
I would love to see the children gather mushrooms and collectables on their own once trained.
I believe 2 years for a Mother not to work is to long, perhaps shorten it or allow them to be able to do some type of light work.
The weather changes is an awesome idea! And so is having the children INSIDE a building, coming out to play some and collect mushrooms as well as collectables.
