Hm! Okay, thanks so much for the replies. The comment about males breeding...like in real life was pretty funny. Haha. That bit of info will help out. I had been trying to set elderly villagers on parenting just to get to esteemed elder status and had a few village population booms! Now I know why. Haha.

I too, was trying to figure out a pattern to totem distributions but no luck yet. I think the idea that each villager is assigned one at birth is a good and probable thought.
