Since building seems to be tough to master, I propose in the next incarnation that builders build outhouses! I gotta tell ya all that squattin in the sand just bugs me no end! Also maybe a laundry room and a bathing area \:\)

I like the idea of an outhouse (lessening disease like the fire does now). I don't care about a laundry room - they'd likely use washboard or rocks, anyway. But a clothesline of some sort might be nice, even if it's just a prop they stand by while doing laundry.

RE: Outhouse

The island just isn't that big. A full village can hold 115 villagers. There will be poo everywhere.

In VV3, an outhouse could be like the fire in VV2, and cleaning the outhouse every 9 hours (carrying the poo with shovels and tossing it into the ocean?) could be like building the fire every 9 hours in VV2.

And too much poo in the ocean could be like algae, with a puzzle needed to solve it.

In Star Trek, I never saw any bathrooms. I don't think bathrooms make for very good TV, and likely the same applies to computer games. Although outhouses may mimic reality, building outhouses and shoveling poo in a computer game will likely drive away more customers than attract them.

So my new theory is that virtual villagers make virtual poo, which carries no disease, has no odor, decomposes immediately, and is an excellent fertilizer. \:\)

i'm not sure tossing excrement in the ocean would so much for keeping things sanitary

they do eat things out of the ocean, things that might eat what they throw into the ocean

yea, I don't think I would want to play a game where I had to shovel poo. Maybe just have an outhouse, no cleaning like now just out of sight so I don't have to watch.

LOL LOL. I don't think throwing poo in the ocean and stuff would set a very good example to us kids. \:\)
