Will villagers actually die of hunger? I'm asking because there was a shortage of food (food:0) in my game for a LONG time and no one died. I decided I wanted to test that so I didn't bother with picking mushrooms either.. does it just take a long time for them to die after the food supply is gone?

yeah it might take awhile but they will starve to death.

they lost health when they have no food, and yes, they can die, if deprived long enough

in general I try not to starve my guys, but i have had bad runs where i lost a villager or two before a steadier source of food was available

also, with little to no food available, they tend to hang around owrried about food more than actually working

i'm glad i got that dam built in time then
