When I paused my game last night and then took it off pause this morning I lost tech points. Anyone know why? I'm going on vacation in a week and don't want my village to be messed up. Should I be worried??

Did you have an Island Event when you started the game back up?

Nope, no island event...

Did you quit the game after you paused it, or did you leave it running?

I quit the game after pausing it. When I opened the game and unpaused it I lost tech points.

It's possible that the game processed an Island Event without displaying it, since the game was paused. We'll do some checking on that possibility.

LadyCFII I was going to start a post just on that subject today.
I have started a couple of new games. And 2 of the new games I had named the little people like i normally do, and gave them thier job descriptions and then I paused the game. I paused it with the space bar.and then I turned the game off.
When I came back my people had over 3300 tech points and over 1400 in food. One of my people were in thier thirties and a couple of them stayed the same. I am not complaining because they were all ok. Except thy were older with barely any skill.
Is it a glitch do you think? Or is it because I have been pausing it with my space bar instead of going to the menu and pausing it there?

I haven't ever had a paused game behave that way. We will have to see if we can find a problem in the game.

I just figured out why my mothers won't quit nursing. Everything was going fine in my game. My mother had 117 minutes left nursing and I used the spacebar to pause and now the nursing time doesn't decrease.

From now on, I will only pause from the menu!

So then maybe pausing from the space bar does differently than from the menu. But in someways it is good. Because I get more research points and they don't age.At least they all don't age.

I have always paused on space bar, then go to menu check then quit the game. I have'nt noticed any changes such as the ones mentioned so far. Will keep a check.
