What is the purpose of the flock of birds that keep coming. I have a scarecrow - so Im not asking that question. It's the ones that still fly in and out...are they just "visual candy?"

I had a flock fly away and the pop up came up and told me that they had dropped some nuts in my food storage bin which ultimatley gave me another 400 units of tucker

They are just visual candy, the events have nothing to do with the peticular birds, well they do sort of, but the first game had events that had birds and bees, and monkeys etc,,, never saw any of them. its just somthing to see for a better effect in the game, besides i like dropping my villagers on them and watching them scramble. lol
