I purchased VV2 and loved the game (I had already played and completed VV1 many times)
I had completed all the puzzles, got my population at the max allowable, 50 elders, oldest villager had reached 99 and I was just waiting to get 3 collectables (1 stone and 2 beetles).
I had been playing pretty exclusivly but decided I could relax a little, put it on half screen and catch up with my friends on MSNGR.
BIG MISTAKE! As soon as I ticked the box to take my game off full screen the whole game crashed and would not reload!!!!!
Many many thanks to the customer support team who tried several things (and talked me through them step by step).
However, nothing worked - it seems my system is incompatable with the game played on this resolution. My son has been telling me for ages that my PC is prehistoric - guess he was right lol.
Just thought I'd do my mourning on the forum - my poor little villagers must think I have abandoned them.
Guess I'll just have to wait for VV3 - and keep it on full screen!!!

That's so sad! You had gotten soooo far in the game!!! Just grasping at straws here, but were you told how to force the game back to full-screen mode and how to load your backup savegame, just in case that one was still OK?

Have just read the post about doing that and will try it tomorrow. I'm in England and it's nearly midnight + I'm not very techy lol.
I'll let you know how I get on.

ok I reinstalled the game to try the fix - and the game was there, able 2 load and play in full screen.
Slight downside I had to start from the very begining again \:\(
But at least my village is up and running again, just lots of work - lol. \:\)
