I have about 15-20 villagers that should be elders by now and they have what they need to be one but for some reason they won't change into elders and get anymore totems!

I currently have 50 totems is that the maximum amount you can get?

I was wondering the same thing. I have more than 50 now, but their skill doesn't say "esteemed elder" and I don't get any more totems....

MY question is this: How come people have more than 50 elders on the leaderboard? I am really confused!

There's an event that could give you an extra elder; but basically the limit is 50

There is an island event that can give you more then 50 elders, but it only works if you still have living elders lol, Its the mirror event, and if you choose the right word (its random wich one is right every time) then itll clone one of your villagers, and if you lucky it will be one of your elders.

Then tell me how you can get 53 Elders if the island event only clones one? If I'm not mistaken there on the leaderboards there is a couple of people with a total of 53. How is that possible then? Also on the last leaderboards a couple of people had 120 people. I can see 116 or 17 or 18. But people can't have quads.So how is all those numbers possible?

True, someone could have hex edited the game, but if you had a few people with skills set to parenting, they could smooch at the same time... so really you'd only need 2 sets of triplets "conceived" at the same time if your population was 114... or a few more adept/master parents who mated at roughly the same time...

If the event that duplicates an Elder is so random then i would think the statistical probability of having it 3 times seems totally unrealistic!!!! I have 3 games running and have never gotten that mirror event once.. Soooo maybe the game author should respond to the query. After all we are all pretty competitive and want the same chance at getting on that leaderboard

I don't know anything about getting a extra elder but 120 villiagers is possible and legal. Just be patient and keep playing and collecting.

Youd have to be pretty lucky to get it up to 120 since the limit is 115. but i can see how its possable, but its not statistically reliable. I do fear that alot of those on the leaderboard should not be there, but with new games and new programs, theres always people who shouldnt do what they do.

Yes the events are completely random, but then again thats what makes it entirely possable that somone has 53 elders, my game for example. the last 3 events i have gotten have been the exact same event for both of the games i have running right now. Darn rat swarm. but thankfully today i did not get that one again. so it is possable to have the same event more then once.

Its frustrating to think that theres people out there who use the Hex programs and cheats etc to get up on the leaderboard b4 any of us have a chance, i know, but just be patient, the wonderfull people of LDW will work their hardest to make things more fair and fun for the ones who do things properly.
