Yeah, us city folk are quite lazy lol

Like earlier posts I am trying desperately to get a little girl. I have two females left, one of whom has just got to be getting out of "breeding age". So far I've got 5 male children running around the screen. Both of my adult females are nursing right now, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I get another girl before I run out of the ability of the adults to keep all the kids well fed.

There is no age limit to females being able to have kids, so you have the right idea in just trying as often as you can

I have been down to 1 female, and still managed to save my game, so it can be done

My latest batch of youngins is predominantly male. I just made the 2 females breeders so that when the turn 18 they'll start leaning towards that career on their own and hopefully I'll get a bunch of females. Luckily my adult villagers have a nice mix so I'm continuing to breed two of the females as much as possible to get more girls. I'll just keep breeding and breeding and breeding. That's the ticket!

I am actually running into the problem... (I've started a new game) that my new villagers don't want to breed! There is plenty of food, so that isn't stopping them. It keeps saying "that didn't go well". I just don't understand since I've never had any trouble getting them to breed before. I may have to start over again if no kids are born. Any suggestions?

SOmetimes they do, and sometimes they don't. I have noticed that each group of villagers have their own personality. SOme find it easier to pick up tasks....some need a lot more encouragement. I think you have picked a pair who just don't hit it off. Try swapping partners, or pick a different pair totally.....good luck

sigh. None of them seem to like each other. This is getting depressing!

keep trying, it will happen, I am sure. Maybe they have to be sent on a few dates before they find things in common?
