I started VV2 yesterday ( I finally finished VV1) and when I came back to work (lol I know I should be working....but.....)today, all but 3 of my villagers died. I'm talking like 9 year olds, etc. I only had 8, but still I had a two men and one female and no food, so I had to build up some food and have babies back to back....so now I'm up to 2 kids, 1 baby, 1 female of course and 2 males. I've managed to build a dam (yesterday), uncover some of the ancient pieces(?) spot or what have you, the garden, scarecrow and build a new hut and fix the old one and get some skills under my villagers belt, but it's taking my adept builder FOREVER to become a trained builder...I can't even open up the crate yet.....all that to say has anyone experienced a lot of their villagers dying (don't know why, there wasn't an explaination) except maybe a few and it seems impossible to build back up?

if you are just starting the game, they might be dying because of starvation or just possibly sickness. there is no glitch that makes villagers die, at least one that LadyCFII or Arthur knows about...

It's probably too late now, since the log file has likely been overwritten, but if you ever have villagers die unexpectedly, you can find out why they died from the log. This post provides details about the log file.
