Yes, I'm glad they don't get harmed because, well, that'd be kinda mean! On top of drawing away adult resources.

It would also be kind of nice to have them able to do some things at a young age - like farm/fish at age 8 or something. Maybe they could only do farm, not fish..at least it'd be something! And that is something children would do at an early age in real life. I can see them not doing breeding/construction/research...oh well. Now that I'm flush with adults the kids are okay by me!
