Elderly runners do stop running. Getting higher levels of Medicine Tech will allow them to continue running longer.

My Esteem Elder Amina stopped running around that age also. It was so weird watching her plod around after watching her over taking everyone before. But she had done her fair share in all activities on the island, including having lots of children which none inherited her running. BUT her daughter has had a runner now who just turned 14 & is fast at her work. So you may have runners coming later. Good luck!!

58 is the age for villagers with L2 medicine tech to turn elderly, and thus slow down to a crawl more befitting their age.

If you get L3 medicine you will find your runner will get a new lease of life for a few more years!
