I started a new village yesterday and everything was going great they had food and they hadn't overfished yet so there wasn't any alge and the builders were building the dam. I went to bed last night and woke up this morning to 8 little bodies in the center of the village. They finished the dam and the loveshack there still wasn't any alge and coconuts were still in the tree but the food bin was empty and the log says they all starved to death. How they managed to do that with two to three stocked food sources I have no idea. Has anyone else had an entire village die becasue the farmers didn't collect food?

Yes I have. It is better to either pause your game or slow it down if you plan on going away from it awhile. I'm sorry!
Just give it another try. You'll do fine. Our mistakes are what makes us better players. I know I've made pleanty.

Niki, when you looked at the log, did you find that your farmers were sick? That's the usual cause of overnight starvation. It's important to make sure that you have trained healers if you're going to leave the game unattended for any length of time.

I had 2 or 3 villagers that had healing skill and in the log it even says that several of the villagers were healed. My farmers got sick towards the end and were the last two to die. It looks like one kept trying to gather food and one didn't. Then suddenly neither one was trying anymore and everybody was dead.

At least I still have the first village I started and everyone in there is doing just fine.
