Do the farmers' skills increase while they are watering the field? I have plenty of food right now, and I'm babysitting the workers on the ancient ruins because they keep leaving. However I have a runner who I'm trying to get to Master in farming who won't keep fishing. If I just leave him alone will his skill continue to increase, or does he actually have to be collecting food?

Yeah, watering the field increases that farmer's skill. And about the runner, does he/she have any dislikes? Or have you got algae in your ocean?

He likes to run- due to an island event. He's already a Master in building so I switched him over to farming hoping he'll learn as quickly. He just doesn't want to keep fishing and wants to water the field. The algae is long gone. I just don't want to have to babysit him along with the builders in the ancient area too. So if his skill level will keep increasing, I'll just leave him alone until the crops grow in a hour.
