So I was one of the people who rushed to Reflexive and got the game, got all the things researched, almost all the puzzles and found out I had to start ALL OVER. OH the pain, the pain. Now I am at the beginning and once again am shouting at my little guys, work harder!

But it was very weird, the first time I played, I never got the algae! I had people that recognized the fish in the Lagoon but there was no use for them! Therefore I never got the Fish puzzle, although I new how to solve it. Very strange.

Also, I can't seem to get any of the rare collectables. Is there a trick to it?

The algae is caused by overfishing, and it's possible to keep a small village fed without doing that. Your villagers must do enough fishing in order to cause the algae to appear.
