I realize that algae is caused by overfishing, as has been mentioned a number of times here. But just what is "overfishing"? That is, will the algae appear after a certain number of fish have been taken? Or does it also depend on the rate at which fishing takes place?

Any ideas about quantities of fish involved (numbers of fish or value as food) or rates (i.e. more than 50 fish in an hour, etc.)?

Does any of this vary with either game speed or level of difficulty?
