you can move around by using the numbers on the Num pad. and once you get level 3 exploration, you can see the items in map mode.
Yeah, but that only takes you to certain spots - you can't scroll around as you desire. I really wanted to use arrow keys (or, even better, regular mouse-scrolling, without the click-and-drag), but the numberpad keys are useless for what I want.

I agree. And the memorial wall mentioned on the VV2 forum, so that all deaths are recorded (so far in VV2, I've only had one death, so forgive me if we have something like this already and I don't know it).

I don't think kids should pick up mushrooms or collectibles on their own - it's the only thing we users have to do after getting people started on whatever skill we have them working at.

If nursing Moms can work, then I think it should be that both Mom and Dad are slowed down to half-accumulation of skills during the nursing time. There has to be a sacrifice to having kids - can't make things too easy.

I've seen lots of neat ideas here, though.
