tryign to get my tribe to accomplish 3 things to get my totems

Try having one of your master parents (or adept if you have no masters) "teach" the children quite a lot. Drop one of them on one of the children. You should see "teaching children" as her activity. All th kids will gather near the fire for their 'lessons'. Then start their 'job' right away at 14 years old.
