It really doesnt matter how much wood you put on, its on a timer just like everything else, at 1/2 speed its 39 hours, normal is 19 hours, X2 hours its 9 hours, so it will run as long as your timer, just make sure you add a load of wood b4 it burns out. nothing bad really will happen if it does, as long as you get it right away, but over time, your villagers will get sick from the cold \:\)
