The Windows clipboard is a temporary area that Windows uses to temporarily store whatever was last copied or cut (either by using Ctrl-C or X, or Edit/Copy or Cut, or the print screen function). Some versions of Windows have an optional Clipboard Viewer accessory that you can install, but the easiest way to see what is in the clipboard is to use the Paste function to paste the contents into an application (such as Notepad or Paint, depending upon if the clipboard contains text or images).
