I noticed that I have a couple of villagers that are on their way to go fishing, except it looks like they are carrying a spear or stick with them...Anyway I watched them and they walk down to the ocean with the stick (?) but at the waters edge they kneel down and pick up a fish and no longer have the stick???? Is it just one of the villager strange occurances?

P.S. Notice how the collectibles are almost the same size as the little guys? The stones blocked out my 2 - 3 year olds......all you saw was the top of their heads and feet...lol!

They are going spear-fishing. Just one of the little tricks the villagers have picked up. There doesn't seem to be any way of getting your villagers to do this instead of the usual way of swimming out to catch the fish; it seems totally up to them.

oh well i knew that i thought you meant there was a specific WAY or place to drop them to make them spear fish not just keep dropping them till they eventually head for the spear

I didn't say it was magical or anything. I actually use the reverse of that. If I want them to fish and they start heading for the hut, I'll usually stop them and make them stay in the water. That trip is pretty long from ocean to hut and back again.

My villagers never go in the water with the spear, they go to the very edge bend down and pick up a fish!
