It seems that when I leave them no matter how many farmers I have they always stop working when I'm away and when I come back they either have no food or almost no food. And once I had crops spoil because they weren't used. Well at least according to the log. And then I had one villager die of starvation when they were crops to harvest. Does this happen to anybody else.

I've had that problem too in the beginning of the game but my solution was to make sure that the "Trainee Farmers" have had at least 1/3 of their skill bar increase before I let them do their own thing.

I also kept my population really low in the beginning and then only had 2 Farmers (Maximum) harvesting crops so that by the time the crops dwindled it will be time for the next crop to come. I hope this helps....

I normally don't let the farmers do their own thing. I try to keep them on task for the most part. But the only 2 farmers helps. Thanks.

I think I have read that there is a glitch with the farming part of the game that they are working on. I know it is annoying!!! I'll wait and wait for crops to harvest and what do they do??? Harvest coconuts??? I am hoping they will come out with a patch soon.

I dont know why they wait till I leave and then decide its party time. I left and came back and one of my farmers was in the pond. I wish I could have drowned him, but that would have been mean.
