Hi,
I have been playing VV2 for a while now (since it's out) and I'm at my second tribe. My first one is pretty much done, I have the max villagers, all the puzzles done, I'm just getting elders and changing clothes. So I know what I'm suppose to do, but for some odd reason in my second tribe, I can't get the darn cauldron out of the wood pile and I can't get my master scientist to make that cutting tool to clear the thorny bush area. I have built the extra hut, built the dam, fixed the mating hut and have L2 technology
Did I miss something? Any help would be great!

You could check the puzzle solutions in the Guide section to make sure you didn't miss anything.

1) Check to make sure you have credit for the herb mastery puzzle. 2) Check to make sure you have Exploration 2 technology done. 3) Check to make sure the scientist trying to make cutting tools is a master scientist. If you have done both of the above and still you do not see a cauldron in the wood pile I am stumped. Have you done any time traveling? I have read in another thread about a missing gong puzzle piece that time traveling can have unexpected results. Perhaps time traveling affects this puzzle as well. Let us know what happens! - Borg

from what I've heard, as long as you aren't actually playing when you reset the clock, it shouldn't effect game play. I know there was a thread about time traveling and daylight savings, but they may have deleted that since daylight savings is over.
Nope, just checked, it's still there. Try reading that to see if you can find anything.

That's not totally true. You can't change the clock indiscriminitely, even when the game is not actually running. Some adjustments, particularly changing the clock backwards, will cause problems with the game, even it it's not running.

Yea, I was just thinking that setting the clock backwards a an hour or so would really confuse the game.

It could just be this new game your playing has a glitch to it. Just restart the game. Or just play it and hopefully it will work itself out. I have had some weird things happen in my new games. But if it is something that isn't suppose to happen,I just start over.

TMOVal..about the time change. If you are running Windows 2000 you need to run a tool on your computer to fix the time zones. Manually changing it will only work till Windows syncs with the atomic clocks or whatever it does with the time servers. Its called Time Zone Editor You can find it http://www.softshape.com/download/tzedit.zip there. Run that, click on edit, change the start time to the second week of march. The end time to the first week of november. Click apply and close. Now open your time zone by double clicking on the system clock and clicking time zone tab. Change the time zone to anyone of them and change it back to apply the new settings. If you have XP it should have came through as an automatic update if you have that turned on and you should now have had to adjust it yourself.

go to windows update and download the update that updates the timezones. When you go to windows update click on custom and look under the critical updates and one of them will say something along the lines of this update will fix your time zones etc etc. Get that one. Then reboot and you should be fine
