Ok - I have learned the hard way. When making your villagers sick so your Adept Doctors can heal them and turn them into Masters - it is best to use all the same sex. This is the 3rd time that while I thought Doc was "healing" obviously he/she had other plans. Now my LazyGirl - who is 49 - is having a baby. I never had plans for her to procreate!!! Right or wrong she was my test subject. Maybe a miracle will happen and since she dislikes work her baby will be a runner. Miracles happen right? Like Adept Docs turning into Masters . . . <sigh> Oh well, gotta laugh.

I try to bring all young villagers up to at least trainee level in the three main skills, with a few also taken to the herbs to learn doctoring as well. That way I can easily switch villagers between tasks as needed, without the constant need for monitoring. When young, I try to use villagers as builders or farmers, and put the older ones on research as it means less travelling. Once a villager reaches master in a particular skill I'll try to switch them to another as soon as possible and replace them with a master in another skill to train up on the way to becoming, hopefully, Esteemed Elder. Obviously, some times I need to modify things if I particularly need the villagers to concentrate on getting tech points, say, but that is the general idea.

I wasn't complaining about Mstr Docs and Builders. I was just laughing at my own mistakes! When I yelled out "OMG - LazyGirl is pregnant!" my husband looked up and said, "She didn't know better?" It was my mistake but I had to laugh! It's not the easiest thing in the world but that's why I keep playing the game.

I think it is rather funny when your trying really hard to make a master doctor when your doctor is female and the sick ones are all male. She gets pregnant everytime.LOL

I did make my first Male Master Parent tonight and once again LazyGirl was my guinea pig - she's over 50 now. Boy, they kissed a LOT to get him to Master Parent. Maybe now I can get triplet builders?????

When you are healing a villager get a child to do it, no chance of them having a kiss and cuddle instead and if you get the same child to do all the healing it will be adept or even master by the time it reaches 14, making it easier to get to elder status!
I get my male adept parents to teach the children, simply drag him to the kids and all the kids run to the village centre to learn (REALLY like kids - lol!)
Once all your buildings are built you can still drag builders to fix the huts!

will study strange plants increase healing skills? Yes. You should see a message in the status bar that your villager has increased his or her healing skills after they've studied the plant for a while. Either that or they have failed and they will walk away shaking their heads. The other way to increase a doctor's skills, of course, is to actually heal other sick villagers.
