Hi,

I try my first game in VV2 recently. I found that once the alage hit the sea, my food supply is always running very low. Furthermore i only had 15 villagers living together. Now i so scared to produce any more babies...

May i know how can i always push up my food supply other than to source for mushrooms? Do i really have to wait till i buy the level 3 farming and clear the alage? In this case, i think most prob my villagers cant survive anymore haha.. i only till 11k of my tech pts.. still got like 80k more to go?

You will find that until you get L3 farming and can clear the algae you might get occasional periods when your food supply does run low. However, provided you can harvest crops, a village of 15 should survive without too much trouble. Mushrooms and coconuts are useful, but are not always necessary to survival. See the guides section of the forum for tips, and also read the many similar posts that have been made in this forum on the same subject.

It's not unlikely. Your villagers can go quite a long while without food, although their health will take a drop. Once you have food coming in again you can make a stew to restore them. Remember that in olden times the end of winter, just before the crops came in, was a hungry time for the farming people up until comparatively recently, and still is for millions in places like Africa.

You've got to be kidding....8)

Virtual Villagers and Africa? LOL!!!

You're right about the Villagers as a hardy bunch though. Making stew is always good for a starving population without Farming Level 3.

Err... Don't take offence Arnie... It's just my humour
