I am in desprate need of A LOT of tech points. I also need help because I have 10 vilagers, only 2 are masters in 1 thing. Are there any ways to help them become elders and/or masters in other things. I hate to say it, but a cheat code would help A LOT.

To the best of my knowledge there are no built-in cheat codes for this game. The only thing I can think of that is close to a "cheat" that people have used (search forum if you like) is "time warping" (changing your system clock) which is a form of cheating, but it is very much frowned upon. It is just not in the spirit of the game; it can destroy your village if you are not careful; it can have very unpredictable results; if something horrible happens you are on your own. However, one thing that is legal to do (and I do it) is "save" my games, so that if a parrot or a monkey or some other critter takes all my food or tech points and my village dies, I can restore my village to its previous glory. You may wish to read the thread about how to save and restore your games (search forum - there is a topic on it in the guide section i believe).

Do you have any strategies then that will help me acumulate tech points or make more people masters at things?

You can build up tech points by paying constant attention to the village and having your kids pick up every single collectible item (this also helps with the food situation, of course). Once a new item is found, every duplicate of that item accumulates tech points. Some are worth more than others. In one village I managed to keep everyone well supplied with food for several hours, just collecting mushrooms, and meanwhile the kids accumulated over 3,000 tech points with collectibles in 1 hour of play.

Also, put as many of your villagers at the research table as you can. Don't worry about achieving master/elder status until your village is well established and secure for food.
