I've been playing forever and no matter what I do, my "points earned" never get a very good ranking. I played all the way through, got all the puzzles, they have had as many babies and as much food gathered as possible, no one died early (also something I don't understand the ranking for, I have had as many babies as possible but evidentally if you kill off most of your village and have more babies, you are a better player??), I have all the tech points and beyond... I just don't get it.

What gets you points in the game?

Tech points are earned at the research table and through collectables, the more collectables you get, the more tech points you get. theres probable a math to how many tech points you get per person/per hour/per skill rating. but only the developers know what that is, and dont pay any attention to the leaderboards at the moment, not all of them are true players, only go by what you think you should have for you.

No, not tech points. 'points earned' on the stats page...

Nevermind... that must just be total TECH points earned... they just don't say that.

Yes thats exactly what that is, its your total earned for the game. its just like the food gathered section, not what you have at the moment, its what youve had for the entire game.
