I have gotten the first three, (cave, pond, and crate) yet for some reason its not giving me my peice from the mosaic.. !!!!! its driving me nuts, i have two totems, and keep droppng them on the center. and it isnt working! i feel like i have been doing this game forevber, my friend had glitches, but mild ones. and i get to the end and get my first one!!!! this isnt fair!

i found that i too had a tough time positioning one of my totems, and after five minutes i gave up and tried another one (the wooden one) and it worked on the first try.

based on my experience above, one possibility is that the image of the first totem i tried (and you are trying as well) may not be perfectly centered in the png file, but i could be 100% wrong. have you tried dropping it off center? if you find a spot that works, perhaps report your findings (such as, "the blue/gold totem works best if dropped slightly above and to the right of the center.) i would try dropping it in a 2x2 cm square around the center, and if I am right about alignment being the problem (which I may be wrong about), one of those spots will work.

this is a silly question - you have completed building the mosaic, right? another thought - have you tried quitting the game completely and then restarting it and see if that works?

ok... im ready to close down the game and not play this anymore. this is stupid... im getting so mad.. THREE TOTEMS tried now..and NOTHING... i tried all over the mosaic.. nothing.. i have tried everywhere. and nothing.. i have been trying now for too long!!!

This is not a _bug_ that we ever saw in testing. Usually, the only time a gong piece temporarily goes missing is when the villager carrying it gets interrupted along the way. If that happens, closing the game, launching it again and repeating the puzzle solution (if necessary) is all that's required to retrieve it. There was a thread here that dealt with an issue getting the mosaic gong piece that was never resolved.

Is it possible that time warping is involved in any of the games that are having this problem? It would help to know all of the circumstances that led to the problem.

I time traveled when i first started the game. I tt'd a total of about 20ish hours. but that was about 3 -4 weeks ago. and i havent tt'd since.

I suspect that time warping is interfering with more than just the game timers. The real-time engine in Virtual Villagers is very complex and time travel is definitely not advised. Please see this thread for sad tales of time warping.

Unfortunately, many of the problems caused by time warping appear to be irreversible. If a game becomes messed up because of that, there is nothing we can do to help. People can time warp all they want to, but at their own risk. The only remedy if the game has problems may be to start over.

Anyone who is experiencing this, please PM me and tell me where you got the game. I smell a _bug_, but I think it might just be one version of the game.

I had the same problem with the Gong in the crate as well as the one in the Mosaic too purely because I'd accidentally chosen an old fart to carry it(silly me). Another one was interrupted TWICE by Island Events.

But all I had to do was close the game and re-loaded it and it appeared again.
