When I go to the virtual villager folder I see Isola21.ldw on my computer. And I see the others also.

Is the user's My Documents folder that you found the savegame files in the same user that you are logged into to play the game?

Check the date and time on the Isola21.ldw file and see if it matches the last time that you played the game.
