there should be something for the builders to work on instead of just fixing huts after all of the buildings are built

How about the fast declining institution of marriage? I still feel rather jumpy about villagers getting hitched to the opposite member of sex who's sitting there bored.

I also must protest the physiology of reproduction in VV \:\) 50 should be the absolute maximum for child-bearing (menopause) and fertility should drop after 35 (taking into account huge increases in spontaneous abortions and Trisomy 21 aka Down's syndrome)

I agree, Topper, it would be nice to know how many collectibles I've managed to tot up and just how many tech points they've earned. Also would like to see children getting some kind of credit for all that work. I love VV but I know that I'm nearing the end of this current visit (just waiting for a butterfly) and it will be a long time before VVIII is developed. I'll miss it.

I really like the idea of the sewers since there is now a sewing hut.

Since there's not likely to be anything to see with the children inside a building, not sure how that would add to gameplay.

As for the weather changes, I ran a 5-day forecast for two tropical islands in different parts of the world:

Barbados 5-Day Forecast (High/Low); Friday: Scattered Clouds, 82/78°F (27/25°C); Saturday: Scattered Clouds, 82/78°F (27/25°C); Sunday: Scattered Clouds, 82/78°F (27/25°C); Monday: Scattered Clouds, 82/78°F (27/25°C); Tuesday: Chance of Rain, 80/77°F (26/25°C)

Tahiti, French Polynesia 5-Day Forecast (High/Low); Friday: Chance of Rain, 87/77°F (30/25°C); Saturday: Chance of Rain, 89/75°F (31/23°C); Sunday: Rain, 84/80°F (28/26°C); Monday: Chance of Rain, 84/80°F (28/26°C); Tuesday: Rain, 86/82°F (30/27°C)

The only "weather change" would be substituting "scattered clouds" and hot/hotter for "chance of rain". A hurricane would be an event. \:D

Oh, Bajantara, I mistook you, I thought you meant sewers, as in drainage? Made my lol, then I read the next bit about sewing huts! ROFL

Hi everyone. I am new to this forum but not to VV as I have both versions and really love them. I just wanted to add my 2 cents worth. I fully agree with the following points. How about cutting the mother's nursing time down to one year so the mother can go back to work sooner. Plus having kids should get them more parenting points. The kids should have some sort of school or play area instead of running all over the place. There could be a teacher or Elder on duty to both teach and entertain them - which would gain that villager parenting skills. Having day and night would be a good thing to. These villagers do need to sleep. Also, why not a building for a bathroom and shower? It would be better than using the great outdoors! The doctors need a research table as well because there is little to do when no one is sick! Discovering a new medicine or potion could add to tech points and healing skills! The builders need more to do once the huts are all built. I love the idea of a sewing hut, a hospital, love shack and so on. We do need more than 3 living huts though. Maybe the living huts could be bigger - like the hospital - and maybe there could be 5 or 6 of them. Why not have the huts periodically destroyed by weather (i.e. rainstorms, windstorms, hail) or even by fire. What if a herd of wild animals ran through the village and trampled a hut? Then the builders would then get busy and rebuild what was destroyed. Keep the collections, it was fun trying to complete them and then getting to have a bigger population. Keep the totems too. Trying to get Elders at least gives us more to do once all the puzzles are done. Also, how about a special place to store the totems? Plus, when you click on a totem besides stating whose totem it is, why not list the 3 skills that were mastered? How about a different food storage bin. The one in VV2 makes it look like the food is falling on the ground. Maybe we could have a table for the villagers to eat at. Keep the stews too but have more different results. There were alot of "bad" stews and "healthy" stews in VV2. Why not a stew that makes them drunk or sleepy? How about a stew that gives them great intelligence or great strength for a short period of time. Having villagers go off into the woods to hunt is a good idea. There could be several different animals they could come back with. Each animal could then add to the food or tech points depending on its size and how long it took to get. It could also add to a villagers skill level. Besides fish, crabs, vegetables, and coconuts I think the addition of meat would be a good thing. Also, why not have some fruit for them to harvest (i.e. bananas, apples, oranges), which would also broaden their diets. Well thanks for listening and I am sure looking forward to the next chapter!!

I think that when a kid gets a mushroom, s/he should get a little bit for farming skill. Also if collectibles are present in VV3, any repeat collectibles should count for research skill for kid. i mean, they ARE doing the work to get food/tech points for village, so why shouldn't they get a LITTLE credit for it?

wow...some great ideas there! I love the idea of the storms/animals wrecking the huts....there really isn't much for the builders to do and makes it REALLY HARD to get a master builder. I think too that a version that switches to night-time and also some "weather" would be great too.
