OK...Ive had one, but now they wont..errr...reproduce. They go inside the hut and say it didnt work. Ive marked Breeding for the two I err...breed lol..but it doesnt work. HELP!

What is your population and how many huts have your villagers built? (And, just to make sure, you ARE playing the first VV game and not the second - because they're different).

I have the new hut..and i think 7...i have A new home..One had a baby right off the bat..one visit to the hut and bam! baby. Plus she didnt look pregnant at all..and with in...5 min she had the baby lol..lucky!

If your villagers have finished that first hut that was partially built when you started the game, they will be able to grow to a population of 15 before you need another hut. Sometimes, if there isn't at least 400 food in the bin, they will be reluctant to make baby villagers. Sometimes they don't get along. Watch for messages at the bottom when you try to make babies - that sometimes explains things - but you might just have to be persistent. It can take a dozen or more tries before a baby is produced, especially early in the game.

you can also try making them kiss over and over again instead of waiting for them to go to the hut it will also produce babys.

Will villagers in VV2 breed on their own without any prompting? I am running two villages at the moment (a little experiment), with minimum interference from me (no skills boxes ticked), just to see how they get on. I made a decision not to encourage them to breed and so now I am without children. No-one to collect all those goodies that seem to pop up even more now there are no children about :-)

In both VV1 and VV2, a villager will only initiate an activity if they know how. Once you teach a villager a skill, they will continue to do that on their own. If they know how to do more than one thing, and nothing is checked as preferred, they will make a choice on their own. If you never train any of your villagers at all, you will have a lot of adults pacing around "being bored."

Thanks, Lady, so they won't just breed. I have been training them, minimally, and they are doing great. I have a runner who runs between being a doctor and a farmer, usually when there are crops to bring in. She's great. I will intervene to keep them alive and to help with the puzzles, but I want these villages to last a bit longer than my previous ones ... I'm still reluctant to leave Isola but the time is drawing close
