I have a bizarre problem where one of my mothers won't give birth, that is the nursing time does not go down from 120 minutes, even though she ages and everyone else gives birth normally.

Even more bizarre is that the villager was originally an elderly 62 year old who was turned back to 12 years old by an island event, so I have a feeling this may have had something to do with it.

Anyone ever experienced this? Is there for example a way of editing the .ldw file or does the villager have to carry the baby for the rest of her life?

Have you adjusted your computer's system clock to make the game go faster? That's normally the cause of that problem.

You could always wait and see if it sorts itself out, but that's about it.
