When I fast forward my mothers don't stop nursing and the buildings never get finished faster. Is it because I am not going far enough forward or do I have to play like the normal people.

Time travelling will RUIN your game. I learned this the hard way. I had to restart my game FIVE times before I realized that my villagers could NOT survive the rigors of time travel. I was CONSTANTLY in a food crisis and lots of other problems. I read the post that Bajantara listed above and though that maybe I should try doing it without time travelling. It took a long time, but I "beat" the game on the first try after that. I NEVER had a food crisis and everything ran smoothly. As someone who has done it both ways, it is actually much more fun without travelling. Besides, who wants to pay $19.99 for a game that is over in a day? I highly reccomend being patient, it is a much more pleasant experience that way.

What ACC said is true. It takes all the fun out of the game, and most of the complaints that LDW get are usually caused by time-traveling. Not only can it mess up your game, but also cause your computer many problems, such as problems with your virus scan programs.
